Joseph:  Fiancé, Her name is Angie.  Dr. Hill: Ah congrats! Joseph:  And, she's a nurse.

Dr. Hill: Well, I know you've done your research, so I'm going to get right to the point

Chorus – Pitch to Stay On Top of It

You don't want you blood sugar to go

Up - Down - All - Around

Sometimes your blood sugar will drop low, and sometimes it will spike high

I know you can stay on top of it - You can if you try

Verse 2 – Controlling Diabetes Diet, Exercise & Monitor

Dr. Hill: The best way to control this disease is to watch very carefully what you eat

So take it from me, it's more than watching calories you've got to count carbohydrates

I've seen the research and it clearly shows that diet and exercise is the way to go

On top of that diabetes demands you check your blood as often as you can

Know It - Track It - Do Let It Go

Chorus - First Prescription – Diabetes Educator, Dietician & Gym

Dr. Hill: The first thing I'm prescribing is an appointment with a diabetes educator.  It's covered under your insurance plan, and he'll teach you more about the disease, food digestion, and how to properly check your blood glucose, several times a day at least before and after meals, and before and after bedtime as well.

Now, I know you're already on a diet plan and exercise plan,
but I'm going to give you this list of local gyms,
and I'm also referring you to a dietician, who will show how to count calories, fat and carbohydrates.

Chorus – You Can Live A Normal Life

I know you can stay on top of it; you can live a normal life!

Chorus

You Should Know is a love story about a young man, who just discovered that he has diabetes and his relationship with his fiancé.  In the song, he tells her about his fate.  The specific situation represented in the song is a dramatic and realistic expression of love.  More importantly, it provides a credential to talk about diabetes.  The second song on the project is called, "You'll Never Know."  This song is the fiancé's (a nurse) reply.  The song is also an upbeat R&B listing of diabetes symptoms.  In "You'll Never Know (a day without my love)," the fiancé proclaims her commitment and return love.  She lets him know, in song, that she recognized the symptoms early.  The program also includes a song about their visit to the doctor (treatment options) and, other songs about topics such as diet managementphysical exercise, hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, medication, and checking blood sugar
